Possibly, but I'm not sure if she's the type to run. Perhaps disappear for a bit, but definitely return. Of course, there's always the possibility that her disappearance (should it occur) will not be willful on her part...

While reading back through Nicodemus' being stalked by the Naim/shapechanging deamon, he said that evoking the image of the one thing would summon it. Now it seems that's just what Ikku did when making the puppet, who was the same image. But why? It doesn't seem like it helped her locate the thing or the 'trinket' that it stole from her, so what was the point?

I think it's an issue of how human Ikku is. Her explanation to the group ( http://www.wanderingchaos.com/uc/080410.html + 3) indicates that the play is what she remembered. It could easily just be a way for her to try to deal with these random memories. As she says, she was unsure, before this night, if they were merely delusions. While our fairy-boy says otherwise ( http://www.wanderingchaos.com/uc/082510.html ) it is possible that she is now becoming "wholly [herself]" rather than knowing the whole time.
Or, on the other hand, perhaps she has known the truth for all her life, and has blocked it out to live a happier life. It could come to the surface when there is no other option or there is a direct link to her previous life (like fairy-boy.)
Or perhaps she has some convoluted plan with hidden motives and there was a purpose to this play that we missed. Hard to say until it is revealed.
Also, perhaps she didn't know that invoking the image of the blue fairy lady would summon her. Nicodemus certainly knew, but perhaps Ikku does not.

Well, I'm going with Kelsi here (http://www.wanderingchaos.com/uc/060710.html -1) saying she knew it would happen and was too calm as well as Naim's saying her explanation was a good start but needed work.
As far as motive for the summoning, I'm wondering if Ikku thinks that killing the blue fairy thing will stop things from coming between worlds + all that stuff Teal haired girl was talking about. Seems they failed at killing her, though, so we'll see how that pans out.
As far as Ikku's humanity...it could be that she blocked it all out to live as a human until the grey goo attacked the school, but considering that the play was decided and written well in advance, I think she had some forewarning or precognition that her old world was going to invade(?) the human world.
Just food for thought.

Well, it seems we have a good bit of explanation on how the magic-y stuff is working around our heroes. Now, however, there is a new question: What the hell happened to Nicodemus?
